Queen's University: "Skywalk"
This is one of my favourite places on campus, which I like to call the "skywalk". Beautiful 360 degree views.

HDR - Lake Ontario
So it's been a while since my last post, I've been busy with school and haven't produced a time lapse that I liked for a month or so.
Hopefully this video will make up for that. I've been aware of HDR (high dymanic range) photograph for quite a while, but only recently did I realize that my camera was capable of it and that it could be incorporated into time lapse. Here's my first test of HDR imaging and HDR time lapses.

Queen's University: Grant Hall

After a meeting with the Queen's Camera Club, I had time to kill so I headed over to Grant Hall to shoot some star trails as I had been meaning to get the shot for a few months now. I hope to shoot more of these types of shots around campus soon!

Wolfe Island Church

I headed out to Wolfe Island last night, braved the cold and was rewarded with this beautiful photo!

Sci 15 Grease Pole Climb
Queen's Engineering class of 2015's grease pole climb. They had an official climb time of: 2 hours, 9 minutes and 6 seconds.
Thank you to Derrick Dodgson, EngSoc, FREC Committee and Asad Chishti for making this time lapse possible

Queen's University Move In Day
It was nice to see the university filled with the confused face of a new year of frosh. It was busy and chaotic by Victoria Hall so I helped out a few of the confused little froshies. It definitely seemed better organized than last year though!

Welland Canal
*I really recommend viewing this one in 720p or 1080p in full screen mode, you can see the details of the ships much better.*
A few weeks back, I got the idea to do a time lapse of the ships in the locks near Kingston, Ontario. However, I haven't had the chance to do that, but I decided to head over to the Welland Canal, to time lapse the lakers traveling in the locks from the Glendale Avenue lift bridge.
Despite my failure in terms of the focus, I think this turned out pretty damn neat!

Night over Parry Sound
While up at my cottage a few weekends ago, I went out for a time lapse shoot with my brother and cousin. We went to the Tower on Tower Hill, in Parry Sound, Ontario, which has a beautiful view over the town. Unfortunately they vibrations from other visitors climbing the stairs of the tower caused a bit of camera shake resulting in a bit of blur in the shot. I had definitely pointed my camera in the wrong direction. Behind my camera there was a beautiful lightning storm in the distance with constant lightning.

Stars over the Badlands
So I had been planning this shot for a while and was all set to leave the house at 2am, when my friend Asad had a change of plans and was unable to come with me. With my favorite photographer buddy gone, I was faced with the choice, surrender to my dreary eyes and hit the pillow, or head out to the middle of nowhere for a lonely shot. Well, obviously I headed out and was rewarded by this amazing star trail opportunity.
This was taken at the Cheltenham Badlands from 3am till 6am. The full moon beautifully illuminated the clay dunes, while the Perseid Meteor Shower filled the sky with shooting stars (which unfortunately did not appear in any of the shots).

Sunrise over Lake Ontario
Woke up at 3:30am to head to Lake Ontario to get some star trails/sunrise with Asad Chishti. Unfortunately due to my failure to scout the location first, we missed most of the stars and ended up surrounded by skunks.

Drive to the Cottage
Here's my first attempt at a time lapse from a moving vehicular. I think it turned out quite cool. Clarkson Go Station -> Work -> Long Branch Go Station -> Parry Sound.

Night Sky Over Mississauga

Taken from a bridge over the Queen Elizabeth Way. Stayed up till 1 am for this shot and had the police called on me for "suspicious activity". Well worth it though.
Cottage Stars

This was a first try at star trails, which I attempted a few weeks ago at my cottage in Parry Sound. Not bad for a first try...
Downtown Mississauga
Here's a quick video shot from the Mississauga City Hall. I spent the afternoon teaching my friend and fellow photographer Asad Chishti the art of time lapse photography. This was our first trial video.
Sunset over Mill Lake
This time lapse was take at my neighbor's cottage on Mill Lake, near Parry Sound. I picked the perfect day to do the video as the sunset was stunning and the heavier than usual boat traffic created amazing patterns in the lake.
Blizzard at Queen's University
This was my first ever time lapse video. I shot it through the night from my dorm room window. 'Twas the worst storm of the winter in Kingston.
First Post
Hello readers, This is the first post of what will be a fun blog filled with my (and hopefully others) time lapse photograph work. I was going to do a star trails shot over Lake Ontario tonight, but The Weather Network lied and it is overcast. So I finally have the free time to create this fantastic blog.
